Student images are mandatory if you want to order student ID cards. Student photos can be uploaded in two ways – using the web portal (for school admins) or using the Chamera mobile application (for teachers). This article focuses on both.
Adding student photos on Web Portal (for school admin)
School admins can only access the web portal. Thus, you must have the image files of students to upload them on their profiles. To upload student images on the web portal:
1. Go to the Classes tab from the left navigation panel and visit any class
2. From the class detail’s view, click on any students from the list to visit their profile. On clicking, you will be directed to the student profile page
3. To change or upload a photo for student, click on the camera icon to upload an Upload Files pop-up
4. Chose the image from your device and click on Update
5. The student’s image will be updated across the system
Adding student photos from Chamera mobile app (for school teacher)
The Chamera mobile application was designed for school teachers to remotely take student photos and upload their profile photos into the system. To add student photos using the Chamera mobile app:
1. log in to the Chamera mobile application using your credentials
2. Visit your class and tap on the student you want to take a photo of
3. Your device camera will open. Capture a photo of the student in a portrait frame ideal for student ID cards
4. Tap done, and it will direct you back to the student listing, where you will find that the student’s photo got updated
